Return & Refund Policy

X&O Book Lounge | Effective: Summer 2026

We want you to love every purchase from X&O Book Lounge. Please review our policy below before reaching out.

1. Books

Due to the nature of book sales, we accept returns of books in original, unread condition within 14 days of delivery. Books must be free of damage, markings, or signs of use.

  • Returns must be initiated by emailing us at hello@xo-books.com
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5-7 business days of receiving the return
  • Sale books and special orders are final sale and not eligible for return

2. Merchandise

Merchandise (apparel, accessories, gifts) may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unused and in original packaging.

  • Customized or personalized items are final sale
  • Items marked as final sale at time of purchase are not eligible for return

3. Subscription Boxes

Because subscription boxes are curated and shipped on a schedule, we are unable to accept returns on opened boxes. However:

  • If your box arrives damaged or with a defective item, contact us within 7 days and we will replace the affected item
  • If your box is lost in transit, contact us within 7 days of expected delivery and we will investigate and reship or refund
  • Subscription cancellations must be submitted before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the following month

4. Digital Products & Event Tickets

Digital downloads and event tickets are non-refundable. If an event is cancelled by X&O Book Lounge, a full refund will be issued automatically.

5. Exchanges

We do not process direct exchanges. If you would like a different item, please return the original (if eligible) and place a new order.

6. How to Start a Return

Email us at hello@xo-books.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason. We will respond within 2 business days with instructions.

7. Refund Timeline

Once your return is received and inspected, we will process your refund within 5-7 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or card issuer to post the credit.
